Some pieces don't go around the wrist or the finger - they're about the hand itself, and that changes everything. I made this for people who want to feel something moving through them - the spiral shaped by hand from a single length of copper wire, coiled ring by ring from the centre outwards until the shape is complete, the wire tail running across the back of the hand where it rests against the skin all day.
Copper has been worn against the body for thousands of years by people who wanted to keep their circulation going, and those who come back to me always say the same thing: their hands felt different in a way they couldn't explain, and they stopped trying.
This is one of the last pieces I'll make before I close my studio for good. I hope it finds the hands that want to feel the flow again.
