I set six magnets into the band, then laid a quiet line of stones where the braid meets — nothing forced, just placed where they belong. Then I close it the same way I've closed every piece for forty years: slowly, deliberately, until it sits as one.
People who work with their hands have long been drawn to copper. I've never had to explain why.
One of the last pieces I'll make before I close my workshop.
