Entwine Copper Anklet

This is the piece I spend the most time on - every strand of the braid woven over and under by hand, the tension kept even so the pattern stays true. I made this for people whose ankles and legs have carried them for decades without complaint, who need their circulation to keep pace with lives that don't slow down.

There's something about the weight of this piece against the ankle - substantial, present - that people either notice immediately or come back later to tell me about. Those who wear copper consistently say the same thing: they've stopped noticing what they used to notice.

This is one of the last anklets I'll make before I close my workshop for good. I hope it finds the ankle that has earned it.
