Culm Copper Bracelet

There are pieces you put on that instantly give you a sense of calm. I made this bracelet for the days when your joints need something solid and stable beneath them - each segment individually shaped by hand, the copper pressed and formed into its round shape, one node at a time, the same way bamboo builds itself towards the light section by section.

Copper has been worn against the skin for thousands of years by people who needed their bodies to stay supple and their joints to keep moving, and those who come back to me always say the same thing: they've stopped noticing what they used to notice.

This is one of the last bracelets I'll make before I close my workshop for good. I hope it finds the wrist that needs to rest for a while.
